Itinerary Full-Day Tour

The Edinburgh Full-Day Walking Tour – with Edinburgh Castle tickets Included offers a comprehensive 360-degree experience of the city. We will meet at 2-4 Hope Street, next to Johnnie Walker.

Our first stop will be the New Town, where we will admire elegant examples of neoclassical architecture, and the most iconic mansion of all: The Georgian House. Here, you’ll be transported back in time and learn what high society life was like in 18th and 19th century Edinburgh. Are you ready to live the perfect Bridgerton-like experience?

In the Scottish National Gallery we’ll discover the artworks of some of Scotland’s most famous artists including Sir Henry Raeburn, Alexander Nasmyth, and the Glasgow Boys and Girls.

Leaving the New Town behind us, we will cross over to the Old Town. Strolling along its medieval cobbled lanes, we will discover some of its most important sites, including the Royal Mile, Gladstone’s Land, Greyfriars Graveyard and the statue of Greyfriars Bobby, the loyal dog.

We’ll explore the Grassmarket and the colourful Victoria Street, which inspired famous literary works. Along the way, you’ll learn about the peculiar architecture of the Old Town, key historical events such as the Protestant Reformation, witch-hunts, and public executions. We’ll also dive into Edinburgh’s vibrant cultural scene, from its world-renowned writers and literature to the annual festivals that bring the city to life.

Our Edinburgh full-day walking tour will end at Edinburgh Castle, where we’ll delve into the history and secrets of the buildings, and recall the fascinating stories of kings, queens, battles and sieges. After the guided tour of the Edinburgh Castle, there will be time for you to keep exploring the site at your own pace.
